Dexter: Resurrection season 2 spoilers: Krysten Ritter returning

Through much of Dexter: Resurrection season 1, we had wondered whether or not Lady Vengeance was actually dead — and we may now have an answer.

According to a new report coming in right now via Deadline, you are going to be seeing more of Krysten Ritter on the Showtime drama moving forward. Is this proof that Mia is still alive? That’s complicated. There was an “Active” label on her file in the finale that makes us think that she may not truly be gone; yet, you can also argue that she could be a figment in Dexter’s head, which we have seen on some other instances.

No matter what happens from here, though, we cannot be shocked that Ritter is coming back. Not only was she a memorable part of the first season of the show, but the series is always in need of good female adversaries. She also has a history of working with executive producer Scott Reynolds, and has already been in New York working on Daredevil: Born Again, where she is reprising her role of Jessica Jones.

As for other loose-end serial killers who are out there, we tend to imagine that at some point, we are going to be seeing more of Eric Stonestreet as Al. The serial killer, otherwise known as Rapunzel, was one of the few who actually got away from Dexter in season 1 — and the character was not exactly in a position to hunt them down on the other side.

Hopefully, we will get a little bit more intel when it comes to Mia’s status between now and when the show returns.
