NCIS season 24 spoilers: Is Mateo resolution incoming?
We have a feeling entering NCIS season 24 that there are going to be some major stories ahead regarding both McGee and Mateo. How can there not, given that cliffhanger? There is no evidence that Torres is actually going to kill his co-worker’s biological son, so the question shifts in a different direction. What exactly is the guy involved in? Is there any way to fix it?
Ultimately, we do hope that there is a story coming up here that allows us to better understand not only who Mateo truly is, but how he can be helped. Rest assured, this is not something that the powers-that-be are going to stall on delivering in the slightest.

“Mateo, we’re going to have to get into that immediately … I don’t think we’re going to be stretching that thing out forever. It’s not going to be a Carla situation.
“I think he got involved in something, and we’ve got to get him uninvolved with it … [It] may set the table for something larger that we spend a little more time on over the season.”
Of course, we tend to think that there’s a chance we are going to see something spread out in a way that allows the writers to focus on other things in the process. This show does still have that procedural feel to it for the most part and when the dust actually settles, we have a hard time thinking that they are going to shift too far from that. After all, why in the world would they, all things considered, more than two decades into the run?
