Love Island USA season 8 reunion: When will it air?

Even though the finale for Love Island USA season 8 just arrived on Peacock, you better believe we are looking ahead! There is, after all, a reunion coming!

Tonight, Peacock officially confirmed that on Monday, August 31 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, you will have a chance to see the big reunion special air! Ariana Madix will be joined by Andy Cohen to host the festivities, which we are sure will be full of updates as to where everyone is now.

While it may seem strange at first glance to have a reunion so far removed from the season ending, it actually makes a great deal of sense in this circumstance. Because the show airs close to real-time, this allows the cast an opportunity to go off and live their lives for a while. It also means there is more material for the reunion to show off, including whether or not some of the couples are still together. We also imagine that there will be some friendship updates and other discussions thrown in here about key moments over the course of the season.

Peacock certainly has a lot to celebrate coming out of Love Island USA this season, as it arguably became the top television event for the past several weeks. It has generated attention from everyone from reality TV super-fans to actors and famous athletes. This is enough to make us think that it has several more years in the tank, but a lot is going to depend on whether or not they can continue to find the same great cast members. Also, they do have to be careful as to not oversaturate the brand — it is on just enough every single year.
