NCIS season 24 premiere date hopes over on CBS

We have known for a long time that an NCIS season 24 is coming to CBS. With that in mind, let’s move over to the next question: When could it actually premiere?
First and foremost, we do not get the sense that the network is really planning to fundamentally change all that much when it comes to the next chapter. It is going to be on the network this fall in the same Tuesday timeslot at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. If there is one thing that is going to change here, it is the rather simple fact that it is going to be airing prior to NCIS: New York, the spin-off that will be featuring LL Cool J front and center as Sam Hanna.

While there is no exact premiere date out there for season 24 as of yet, we do not think that there needs to be a dramatic amount of guesswork that goes into it here. If we are lucky, we are going to be seeing the show back moving into either late September or early October. The scheduling will likely work similar to what we got for season 23, so do not anticipate too many changes.
As for when an exact return date will be announced, think at some point this summer! That usually comes out in either June or July.
As for whether or not this will be the final season…
For now, consider it unlikely. NCIS has managed to weather a lot of cast changes and because of that, we are reasonably confident that it is going to be able to keep doing that. So long as it remains profitable, it is hard to imagine CBS ever wanting to walk away from it.
