Can you believe that “NCIS” has really been on the air for over a decade now? Time flies when you’re solving cases! This show has become a mainstay on CBS and also a smash hit in syndication, and we really don’t have much of a reason to believe that this is going to change anytime soon so long as they continue to draw 20 million viewers week in and week out.
One person who clearly also agrees with this assessment? Series star Mark Harmon. Speaking to “Extra” in a new interview, the actor did his part to express his excitement for continuing to come to work on this show, saying that the cast likes each other and gets along, and there are some changes coming to the show yet again in the form of some new writers. Change can be a good thing sometimes, especially when you need some new stories to take on after so many have been done before.
If you want some insight into what it is like working with some of these actors on set, this interview will be straight up your alley. Harmon specifically mentions Cote de Pablo, Michael Weatherly, and others as people he loves spending time with, and who have helped to grow and improve the show.
We have to admit, we personally find these “Extra” interviews to be about a 12 on the 1-10 awkward scale. For whatever reason, we cannot help but watch all of the faces of the people staring sort-of-awkwardly at Maria Menounos while she does these interviews, and our personal favorite is when someone unexpected comes into the frame and basically does the video version of photo-bombing.
Unfortunately, it cannot always be good news around these parts when it comes to the show, just like within the “NCIS” world. After all, de Pablo’s contract status is still up in the air. (Commit slow-cries.)
