‘Teen Wolf’ season 3, episode 4 review: Meet the Demon Wolf (cue dramatic music)

Teen WolfThis week on “Teen Wolf” season 3, we had a series of interesting developments: Hairstyles that were reminiscent of Ygritte from “Game of Thrones,” ridiculous fighting in the hallways, more virgin sacrifices, and a villain who decided to become the King Leonidas of the “Teen Wolf” universe. With just one monologue about being the “alphas of alphas,” he basically kicked all of the show’s characters into a pit.

That’s right: The Demon Wolf is one bad you-know-what. We almost just want to write this entire article about questions pertaining to this character. For example, does he gain more strength by eating other members of his pack, and is thus like that movie that was about cannibals eating each other to gain more strength? Also, why does the Demon Wolf look like the love child of Eric Roberts and the Jacob from “Lost”? Will his wolf form be a wolf with horns?

The most interesting thing about this Demon Wolf character is that despite being a blind man he apparently can bend any and all werewolves to his will, forcing them to return to their shirtless form even while kicking butt and taking names.

In other news not about the Demon Wolf (with the understanding that we went a wee bit overboard with him, and this is without talking about the giant Nike commercial that was this episode), this episode was to us mostly about the notion of progress. Scott is not anywhere near feeling safe just yet, and neither is anyone else. This was more about trying to piece together the puzzle of what is happening with these sacrifices, learning who the true villains are, and then coming up with a plan of attack. The lack of resolution this week has to be frustrating, but remember that the best in this season is still to come.
