‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4, episode 3 preview: First look at ‘Cat’s Cradle’

You have to like the fact that we are just two episodes in to season 4 of “Pretty Little Liars,” and the drama is already starting to escalate to pretty extreme levels. If you thought that what Spencer, Hanna, Aria, and Emily have went through already is bad, then you have not seen anything yet.

For one thing, next week’s episode “Cat’s Cradle” is going to once again feature none other than Hanna’s mother Ashley in the spotlight, and some of the things that her daughter will try to do in an effort to keep her safe. Unfortunately, she and her friends are going to learn that newcomer Detective Holbrook is not at all like Detective Wilden. While he may not be as aggressive, he is remarkable at his job, and that includes finding ways to get information from people. Translation? The liars are really in pretty big trouble.

“Hanna worries that her mother is keeping a dangerous secret and is determined to protect her at all costs, which leads her to an uncomfortable meeting with Detective Holbrook. A clue in Ali’s things leads the Liars to a creepy mask maker, who takes a shine to Emily and may have ties to another Rosewood resident. Spencer and Toby continue their search into a painful chapter of Toby’s past and Melissa returns to Rosewood. Meanwhile, A targets Emily’s mom, leading Aria to make a desperate plea of Ella.”
