‘Anger Management’ season 2: Selma Blair officially leaves Charlie Sheen show

Anger ManagementWell, this did not take very long at all. On the same day that reports first came out that Charlie Sheen was demanding that Selma Blair either leave “Anger Management” or he would depart the show, the news has come out that the actress will not be a part of the show moving forward.

In a statement confirming the news on Tuesday evening, a rep for Lionsgate Television (one of many production houses behind this series) had the following to say:

“We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best.”

While Sheen clearly managed to get what he wanted out of this situation, did viewers? We’re not quite so sure. Fans of the series (whoever they may be) formed some sort of connection for the Kate character, and it feels almost disrespectful to them to have her leave almost without a second thought on the show. The other problem that comes in here is that it throws the writers for a loop, and they have to figure out how in the world to write Kate off for good.

As for her replacement, there were rumors of Sheen offering Mila Kunis $10 million to be in ten episodes of the show, but we can’t see that much of a reason why she would do that, even for this enormous sum of cash, given that she is having so much success in movies right now. After this and many other issues over the years, this may not be the easiest gig to cast.

What do you think about Blair’s exit, and do you imagine that Sheen’s show will only to continue sinking from here on out? Be sure to share some of your thoughts below! If you want to read more news when it comes to the show, all you have to do is click here.
