‘Anger Management’ season 2: Charlie Sheen, Selma Blair situation worsens

Anger ManagementWell, it looks like this is not going to be a situation where cooler heads prevail when it comes to the future of Selma Blair on “Anger Management.” If you are to believe the newest reports that are out there, you have yet another example (the second in two days) of what happens when you let the star of your show also be one of the executive producers.

According to TMZ, Charlie Sheen has issued a demand that either Selma be dismissed from the show today, or he will walk off of the show himself. This all comes after reports that Blair has been allegedly trashing the former “Two and a Half Men” star on set, slamming his work ethic and suggesting that he is often late. None of this has been verified by Blair, who has put on a positive face ever since this mess began. Ironically, Selma plays Charlie’s love interest / anger therapist Kate on the show, and she was also Charlie’s first choice for the role to the extent that he campaigned for her to be cast.

If Charlie does walk off the show at this point, he’d stand to lose quite a hefty chunk of change given that “Anger Management” is poised to make him tens of millions of dollars. However, it’s not exactly a ratings force for FX these days, so we’re not entirely sure just how much they would really even mind if this show, which has at times made “Two and a Half Men” look like an Emmy-winner for writing, goes away.

Regardless of what happens here, it’s not going to end well. We expect some sort of lawsuit to come out somewhere, but if Blair goes, we have a hard time believing that it will hurt her career at all.

What do you think: Should “Anger Management” just go away now, and do you think that Selma is one of the better parts of the show? Be sure to share your thoughts below! Also, if you want to read more news on this issue, you can do so over at the link here.
