Chloe Fineman leaving Saturday Night Live ahead of season 52

As we get prepared to see Saturday Night Live premiere on NBC this fall, we do have some bad news concerning the cast.
According to a new report from Deadline, Chloe Fineman is departing the show after spending seven seasons as a part of the cast. She was best known as an impressionist in her time on the program, and was one of their more reliable utility players with that in mind.

Are we shocked that the exit is happening now? Hardly. A number of longtime cast members leave after seven or eight seasons to pursue other opportunities, and often the news is revealed in some sort of abrupt manner — which is exactly the case here, as well. It remains to be seen if SNL ends up really addressing Fineman’s exit in a major way.
Are there going to be more exits coming?
Well, for the time being, we have to anticipate that. Departures are not always revealed at the same time, and for a reason that is tied a lot to who is making them and why. Sometimes, cast members can even depart in the middle of the season! Just remember that this is what happened with Bowen Yang during season 51.
Our feeling at this point is that the new SNL season is going to be coming on the air at some point starting in late September, and the first host will be someone notable from the summer movie season. That has been a trend, but we could also be seeing someone with a summer song or a returning cast member.
