‘Burn Notice’ season 7, episode 3 preview: Looking at Michael and Sam’s next meeting

Burn Notice“Burn Notice” is still going strong with its final season, which to us means a few things. We will see explosions, there will be drama, and Michael Westen is going to get mad at someone. The only difference is that there’s no relationship going on between Mike and Fiona, which brings that sort of somber feeling to watching the show. (Please guys, work this out already!)

Based on what we are seeing right now for Thursday night’s episode, we’re sadly not getting much of an opportunity to see any movement with the Fiona / Michael story. He’s got his work in the Dominican Republic, whereas she is still trying to serve as some sort of caretaker in Miami.

What’s the silver lining here? That Fiona is still trying to take care of Michael’s mother; by the transitive property of television, that must still mean that she cares, right? It’s either that or she feels enough attachment to Madeline that she doesn’t want to see the poor woman suffer. (Hey, we’re fine with any excuse they come up with to get more material for Sharon Gless.)

This episode is entitled “Down Range,” and you can check out more information via the official / tragically brief synopsis below:

“Sam and Jesse travel to the Dominican Republic to help Michael with a high-stakes trade; Fiona intervenes when a bookie tries to extort Madeline.”

Therefore, there will at least be some sort of meeting of the minds between Michael, Jesse, and Sam, which is at least something. We still can’t imagine a world with these people apart for the whole season, so something has to give. Let’s just hope it gives soon before we start to drown in our own anticipation.
