ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Say goodbye to Ashley Madekwe

AshleyThere’s some breaking news coming in tonight straight from the world of ABC’s “Revenge,” and it’s going to make fans of Ashley Madekwe in particular very sad: She is leaving the show after two seasons of playing Ashley Davenport.

According to Deadline, the decision to not bring back Madekwe was strictly due to the creative that the series was hoping to achieve in the future. The show failed at time to really find a proper use for her throughout season 2, constantly shifting her around and pairing her up with various actors. The whole “relationship” with Conrad Grayson was one of the strangest moments of the entire season, and we’re sure that Ashley as an actress felt a little bit lost. Of course, we’re sure that she would have also loved to have a full-time job on the show.

Madekwe is the second major “Revenge” cast member that the series has lost over the past several weeks, as Connor Paolo (Declan Porter) was killed off during the finale. There is no word yet as to whether or not she will appear in the first episode or two of season 3 in order to wrap up her story, or if she will just be off the face of the earth when the new season rolls around in September.

Since this news is breaking very late in the day, there are likely still some details that will need to be filled in later. With that in mind, be sure to keep checking back for more.

As for your reactions to Madekwe’s exit, we want to hear some more of your thoughts below! If you want to read some more news on the “Revenge” showrunner change, all you have to do is visit the story over here.
