‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 spoilers: Janel Parrish promises answers to Red Coat

When “Pretty Little Liars” season 4 picks up, we know that there are going to be plenty of questions that fans want answers to. For one, what in the world is in Wilden’s trunk, and what role do Shana, Jenna, and Melissa have with everything? Are they the Pretty Little Liars 2.0?

As crazy as these questions drive us, they may still pale in comparison to what is the one question to rule them all: Who is Red Coat? We saw during the season 3 finale that she could be Alison DiLaurentis, but this show has been known to throw in a few twist and turns, so everything is not always what it seems to be.

Luckily, Janel Parrish (who you otherwise know as Mona) does have some great news for fans: Answers are coming! Speaking out in an interview with On the Red Carpet, she had the following to say about the story that is coming up in the near future:

“You will find out what or who is in the trunk and, as the season unfolds, you will find out who red coat is. It’s going to be shocking … When we come back in the premiere we will start exactly where we left off, with us opening the trunk and finding out what’s in it.”

As for the Mona character, what to us may be the biggest mystery is just what her intentions really are. Is this character about to truly fight for the side of good, or is there some sort of alternative motivation that she will succumb to? We don’t know an answer to that just yet, and hopefully the first few episodes of season 4 will serve as some sort of illumination.
