‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Could Jessica Sanchez return as Frida Romero?

At the end of “Glee” season 5, a recent “American Idol” star in Jessica Sanchez found herself quite the opportunity to arrive within the world of the show, and prove that her character of Frida Romero was someone that the folks at McKinley High would need to keep watch of.

Was Frida a stellar performer? Definitely, and Sanchez’s take on Zedd’s “Clarity” was one of the most-popular songs on the show in the second half of the year. However, this alone is no guarantee at all that we will be seeing any more of the singer in the future. Speaking in a new interview with Give Me My Remote, Sanchez made it clear that we at least know that she absolutely loved every second that she had an opportunity to be a part of the cast:

“The cast was amazing – I love acting and I would love to do it in the future, so Ryan Murphy please hit me up!”

As for whether or not Sanchez actually will make a return visit, we doubt it for the time being for one simple reason: The Hoosierdaddies are gone, and we are not entirely sure that we will be seeing much more of McKinley beyond this year. So many of the cast members are graduating at the end of the fall portion of the season, and it’s hard to know what the show plans from there. Unfortunately, one of their biggest current problems is simply that they have too many cast members as is to really give viewers what they want.
