‘Necessary Roughness’ season 3: ‘Once Upon a Time’ favorite enters the world

Necessary RoughnessAre you a fan of Raphael Sbarge? In between “Once Upon a Time” and his voice work as Kaiden Alenko in “Mass Effect,” you really should. It is for this reason that we are rather thrilled to hear the news that the actor is getting another shot to show off his talents … this time over on USA.

According to TV Guide, the actor has booked a guest spot on the upcoming third season of “Necessary Roughness,” where he will be playing an agent at the sports marketing firm that Dr. Dani (Callie Thorne) spends much of her time at in the new season. With all of the new additions to the cast (including John Stamos), it’s becoming clear that the show is opting for at least a partial overhaul as a way to bring in attention, and moving beyond just football could be a good way to do that.

Meanwhile, another actor in Ioan Gruffudd (who we will personally always remember for his role as Mr. Fantastic) has been brought on to the series to play some sort of anti-therapy self-help author, who will collide with many of the characters while on a book tour. Considering that therapy is how Dany makes her living, it is pretty fair to say that there are going to be some fireworks here.

“Necessary Roughness” only has a ten-episode order for season 3, so this is going to be an opportunity for the show to prove itself after being one of their lower-rated shows that was kept around for another season.
