It’s no secret that NeNe Leakes is one of the biggest stars out of anyone to appear in Bravo’s “Real Housewives” franchise, let along her own show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” So what does she end up having to say about some other versions of the franchise? In what should be some of the least-surprising news that you would ever hear, the woman is not short on opinions.
Speaking with Andy Cohen as a part of his special with Bravo on Sunday (which aired in the place of the flagship show), the “New Normal” actress opened up about some other versions of the franchise, in addition some of the people who she is a big-time fan of. As it turns out, someone who ranks very high on her list is one of the original stars of the show in New Jersey in Teresa Giudice:
“I feel for Teresa because there’s something about being the first one in. When you’re the first one in on one of these shows and somebody comes behind you, it’s sort of like, ‘Hold on, you need to respect the veteran. I was here first. You need to play on my territory.’ So I kind of sided with Teresa in that area. Melissa, you came on her show. So you watched her on television and you wanted to be on the show like she was. No, girl, take a seat now! You’re not a veteran.”
Some of NeNe’s other favorite cast members include such originals as Vicki Gunvalson of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and New York resident Ramona Singer. Basically, she has more respect for the ladies who have been there since the very beginning, mostly because they have been through everything and have had to carry their shows on their shoulders.
