“Hart of Dixie” has proven itself to be rather adept at combining the serious, the sweet, and the silly, and we will definitely be seeing all of this and then some play out during their season 2 finale airing on Tuesday, which has the rather mysterious title of “On the Road Again.”
While we know already that Dr. Zoe Hart is going to be pondering over a big decision as to whether or not to move to the Big Apple, and also some moments for both Zoe / Wade and Zoe / George, there is also going to be a pretty silly story that comes out about Lavon having to try and take back something that belongs to his town from a rival community: An alligator. Specifically, we’re talking here about Burt Reynolds. Lavon’s alligator friend is set to play a pretty important role, and Cress Williams had the following to say about working with him in an interview with Zap2It:
“Burt Reynolds has been in a couple of episodes, but I had yet to work with him … It’s a her, actually. The actual alligator is a girl, but Burt Reynolds is supposed to be a boy. It was very scary … We had to rescue Burt. We actually had an episode with two alligators, so we had two alligators on set. The alligator’s chained down, so, in your head, you know that you’re safe, but it doesn’t matter. Having to walk towards the alligator is so scary. You cannot train an alligator. It was quite scary.”
Suffice it to say, Lavon probably would not be as scared as Williams was doing these scenes. Regardless, it should make for a heck of a fun moment on the show when it airs.
What do you think: Do you like some silliness and alligators mixed in with your season finales? If you want to get a sense of just how alone Zoe is going to feel when the finale picks up, just be sure to head on over to the link here.
