“The Vampire Diaries” has done a pretty stellar job over the years when it comes to presenting us with all things great and supernatural, and while we have seen a number of visits from the dead before, it has never quite turned out like this.
Thursday night’s “The Walking Dead” is still one that is pretty shrouded in mystery, largely because we are dealing with appearances from several people who are still unknowns. A number of faces will be back from the other world, and we don’t know necessarily who they are for sure (save for a few featured in this promo), and what they want with some of our beloved characters.
So what does Julie Plec have to say about the story? Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the executive producer explained a little bit about some of the people that we are going to see, and what their intentions will be beyond just some good guys looking to lend a helping hand:
“Part of Silas’ plan to drop the veil — and Bonnie’s effort to either help him or stop him — they kind of blow up in everybody’s face in ‘The Walking Dead,’ and we get our first glimpses of what would happen if this veil fell completely. We start to have some ghosts coming through from the other side. It’s a nice collection of faces that will make us happy, and then some faces that we thought we probably shouldn’t see again because they’re up to no good.”
Whatever happens here, be prepared for it to carry over in a pretty significant way to the season finale, where some of these dead could still be roaming free through Mystic Falls.
