‘Supernatural’ season 8, episode 22 preview: Dean has faith

SupernaturalWith only two episodes left on “Supernatural” season 8, there is not much time left at all here to really figure out whether or not Sam and Dean are going to be able to close the gates of hell … possibly once and for all. So with that lack of time left in mind, expect this story to accelerate, and for blood to be shed.

The good news based on the sneak peek below for Wednesday night’s new episode “Clip Show” is that for the time being, the bloodshed is reserved only to Sam coughing up blood. But how long will it be resorted only to that? It’s only a matter of time before this disease spreads and starts to seep into everything else that Sam has going on within him, as the trials are quickly proving themselves to be something that takes a physical and mental toll.

Perhaps that is why Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles’ characters are ultimately turning to something that you don’t see much of in a world of demons and other creatures: Faith. It may take help from some sort of higher power to sort through the trouble that the boys are plagued with at the moment, and even with the help, it still may be enough to stop Crowley, complete the trials, and to ensure that demons can no longer walk this earth.

There is also one other possible consequence that has not really even been talked about thus far in the “Supernatural” universe: Pretty much every time that there is a victory, there is also some sort of a consequence. Therefore, we cannot imagine the brothers completing their mission without another popping up before them.

Just in case this “Supernatural” preview is not enough for you, you can also check out a video for Sunday’s episode by heading on over to the link here.
