‘Glee’ season 4 finale spoilers: A series regular says goodbye

“Glee” has managed to introduce a new mystery into season 4, and one that has nothing to do with relationships, performances, or characters graduating from McKinley High. Instead, it is all about someone who is currently a series regular on the show saying goodbye to this role before the start of season 5.

Let’s start by sharing the photo to the left, along with the shocking news. According to E! News, one of the people pictured here in the image will not be back in the same capacity. This does not mean that they are leaving the show for good, but they will at least be more limited in their role. When you consider the people in this photo who are actually series regulars now, it really just leaves the following candidates:

Jenna Ushkowitz – She’s been a series regular since the beginning, and her exit would definitely be a surprise now.

Heather Morris – She is expecting her first child, but you have to imagine that Brittana fans would be especially livid at the thought of seeing less of her.

Kevin McHale – Like Ushkowitz, he has also been a part of the show since the very beginning.

Darren Criss – Can you imagine if Blaine proposed to Kurt, only to later partially disappear off of the map for the show?

Chord Overstreet – He has left the show before to do other things, but that was before he was named series regular prior to the start of season 4. He and Morris seem to be the most likely candidates, but anything can happen on this show.

As for Melissa Benoist, Blake Jenner, Alex Newell, Samuel Larsen, and Becca Tobin, they are all listed as recurring guest stars already. Meanwhile, Vanessa Lengies is a guest star with a pilot elsewhere, and she is expected to leave if that show is picked up.
