American Idol 21 results: Who was eliminated before top 5?

American Idol season 21We knew entering tonight’s American Idol 21 episode that we would see one of the more dramatic cuts of the season. We started this episode with eight people hitting the stage. However, by the end the field was set to be narrowed down to five.

It would be easy to make big predictions leading into the episode, but the show’s present-day audience has a tendency to surprise us. Iam Tongi remains a personal favorite, but we know that voters historically lean more towards country artists. There are certainly contenders left in that genre!

As many of you know, one part of tonight’s show is different in that both Katy Perry and Lionel Richie are MIA. Instead, they are in the UK, where they are performing as a part of King Charles’ coronation. We do think you will hear from them at some point during the episode.

Now, let’s not keep you waiting … we know that you are hear for some of the results.

What happened?

Haven Madison, Warren Peay, and Oliver Steele are the three who were sent packing before the top five and of the group, we were the most surprised about Haven. Oliver was previously in danger, so we’re not altogether surprised about that at all.

In the end, we do think that Iam is still the favorite to win the whole season, but let’s make one thing clear — this show has a tendency to surprise late in the season. Our favorites are not always America’s favorites, so we can’t be shocked if something similar ends up transpiring. We’ll just have to wait and see on that, among a number of other things.
