‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 spoilers: New scoop on Ali mystery

Is Alison DiLaurentis really alive? Ever since the shocking end to “Pretty Little Liars” season 3, this has been a question on the tip of the tongue for almost every one of the show’s diehard fans. It seems incredibly unlikely that multiple women within the Lairs would hallucinate Ali as Red Coat even when you consider the potential after-effects of the fire that nearly caused all of them to be burned alive.

Of course, this revelation has a number of fans thinking of all sorts of theories as to how Ali could still be alive, with one of the most prominent ones being the “twin theory” that comes from the book series. Considering that the show has followed the books in some regards (such as Mona being “A”), it is feasible to say that they could continue along a similar direction here … right? Well, not so fast. Based on what Sasha Pieterse told Yahoo! while promoting her new movie “G.B.F.,” almost anything could still be possible for her character:

“There has been a question about the twin thing and there are some cool twists and turns in that … I don’t know how much I can say, but it is not following the books as much as you think it would. It is totally different.”

As always with this show, you should not be surprised at all to hear Pieterse claim that both the midseason finale and the actual season finale to the show are going to completely “blow your mind,” mostly because she is still shocked by everything she is reading.
