‘Suits’ season 3 spoilers: A few assorted details via Aaron Korsh

SuitsMuch like “Sons of Anarchy” and Kurt Sutter, Aaron Korsh has proven himself to be rather generous when it comes to “Suits” fans via Q&A sessions on his Twitter account. While he does not give away any major spoilers on any upcoming episodes, there are still a number of interesting tidbits that we are sure some people are rather excited to hear.

First of all, Korsh confirmed something that is great for maintaining a sixteen-episode order, but frustrating to those who want to see the show air in one solid chunk. The first ten episodes of “Suits” season 3 are going to air this summer, with the following six being kept on hold until the start of next year. This move comes via the network, and the primary purpose of it is to avoid the show seemingly airing against the big dogs on prime-time TV. Summer and January are really the two quietest times of the year for the Big Four (Fox, ABC, NBC, and CBS), and by the time “Suits” ends in February, viewers are hooked enough to see it through.

Korsh also expressed neither excitement nor concern at being shifted over to Tuesday nights after spending plenty of time on Thursday, though this may be because one is really just as good of a night for TV as the other. “Suits” also has enough of a dedicated audience at this point that it is really not lead-in dependent on anything.

As for those of you looking for specifics on the episodes being produced right now, 3×02 is currently being filmed, while the writers are working on 3×08 and 3×06. (For whatever reason, possibly schedule-related, this episode is being shot out of order as 3×04.)
