‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 20 preview: Captain Hook’s ‘job offer’

If there is one thing that we have learned from the world of “Once Upon a Time” thus far, it is that revenge seems to be a key motivating factor in almost anything and everything. After all, just look at Regina … or at what Greg and Tamara are going to do in an effort to win Captain Hook over to their side.

In the sneak peek below from Sunday night’s new episode “The Evil Queen,” the pair (who seem to quickly be becoming the Big Bads of the second half of this season) are quick to inform the pirate that he has no reason to be as satisfied as he is. Why? Rumpelstiltskin is still alive, and he’s now in a position where he is not nearly as vulnerable thanks to the presence of magic within Storybrooke.

However, Tamara and Greg are quick to tell him that there is another alternative. They have found a way in which to kill fairy-tale characters even within this world, and we figure that it somehow involves that bizarre stun gun that Tamara uses (which is clearly much more than an ordinary stun gun). This is probably enough to win Hook over to their side for now, but you do have to ask the following question: What happens when Hook realizes that Tamara has even more of an endgame than just this? While he may not want Mr. Gold alive, he surely does not want to help contribute to the destruction of his own kind. The longer Tamara is in power, the less opportunities he has.
