‘The Amazing Race 22’ preview: From roller derby to bowling

On Sunday night’s new episode of “The Amazing Race 22,” the “roller derby moms” Mona & Beth are actually going to get a little bit more screen time. How can we guarantee that? It’s really all thanks to the fact that the have a speed bump courtesy of coming in last place on the previous leg of the race.

While we’re not 100% sure that the sneak peek video below is of these two women taking part in this task, it does seem as though it is likely, given that there are not any other bowling lanes around them save for the one that they are in. In some ways, this is just normal bowling and not too exiting, but most Speed Bumps are pretty ho-hum. The only twist here? The ladies have to score a strike in order to advance, but there are no holes on their bowling balls. Not only that, but they have to run down the lane and put up the pins every time that they fail to get a strike.

The reason that we have ultimately been worried for these women for weeks is simply that they have been so quiet for most of the race, and while there have been unlikable winners in the past, we have very rarely seen silent winners. In between this and a possible double U-Turn that they will be an easy target for (since teams will assume they are behind), these ladies are in big trouble.
