‘Necessary Roughness’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Last Resort’ alum to rival John Stamos

As you may have heard already, “Necessary Roughness” season 3 is going to feature a major arc from John Stamos, who is going to be playing the part of a sports agency head that Callie Thorne’s Dr. Dani is going to be spending some time with in the episodes ahead.

Now, we also know that Stamos’ character is going to have plenty of competition out there in the field of booking clients. Sources have confirmed that Autumn Reeser, best known for recent arcs on short-lived series “No Ordinary Family” and “Last Resort,” has signed on to appear in one episode of the USA series as a powerful partner of a new agency, which is probably going to specialize in trying to take the former “Full House” star down a notch.

At the moment, “Necessary Roughness” may be in a make-it-or-break-it situation when it comes to the future. USA is starting to become a little bit more aggressive when it comes to plotting out the future of some of their series, that way they can balance out established hits with launching new properties. Therefore, the sports drama only received a ten-episode pickup. We view this at the end of the day to be a bit of an experiment: if some of the retooled elements play well and the show draws some solid ratings, then odds are that we could end up seeing quite a bit more of it in the future. Otherwise, odds are that it may not be around much longer at all beyond its run this summer.
