‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Cote de Pablo talks contract negotiations

NCISWhen you have a show that is as far into its run on primetime TV, there is always some good news mixed with some bad. With “NCIS,” for example, you’ve had an opportunity to watch over 200 episodes of a consistently strong show, and with a cast that has all by and large stayed in place over the years.

However, eventually there does come a point where some of the actors have to look at their future, mostly because there has to be a desire to do some other things after ten years on the air. After all, you imagine that there is some money in the bank at this point, and a creative itch may eventually take over from a sense of comfort and familiarity.

While everyone on the CBS show seems to enjoy their jobs very much, there are some questions still remaining when it comes to one actor in particular: Cote de Pablo. The woman behind the role of Ziva is still not under contract for the upcoming 11th season, and when it comes to the current state of negotiations, this is all she had to say in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly:

“Everything is up in the air … All I can say is that I love this show, I love my peers and we’ll see what happens.”

Basically, we read this as de Pablo expressing an interest in staying on the show, mostly because she would just up and leave at this point if it is really what she wanted to do. These sort of negotiations are standard for shows this late in their run, but the good thing for “NCIS” over the years is that they’ve managed to get most of them done behind closed doors.
