‘Dancing with the Stars 16’ notes: Selena Gomez and Kim Zolciak

Dancing with the StarsWant some more news pertaining to the actual cast of “Dancing with the Stars”? Don’t worry; we’re going to have our full contestant rankings up for the season 16 crew up tomorrow. We wanted to begin here by talking a little bit about the latest news related to both the results show and future seasons.

First things first, let’s start with the continued support of former Disney Channel stars on the ballroom competition. Mere days removed from Demi Lovato giving her first primetime performance of her new single “Heart Attack” on the show, former “Wizards of Waverly Place” star Selena Gomez is coming on the results show Tuesday night with her fresh track “Come and Get It.” When it comes to drawing young viewers, it’s certainly a good idea to book both of these two young stars; meanwhile, The Band Perry will also be performing, while also potentially cheering on another member of the country community in Kellie Pickler.

In shifting gears, though, let’s go into the world of “The Real Housewives.” Lisa Vanderpump was the first-ever contestant on the ballroom competition to come over from the reality franchise, and this has of course led to questions as to whether or not any of Andy Cohen’s other children-of-sorts would be interested in taking on the gig.

For the record, at least one is in Kim Zolciak. Speaking to E! News, the former star of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” who has years of various dance experience behind her, says that she would consider a gig if it was offered to her. (By “consider,” we expect that she’s run at the possibility with open arms. She could probably do well, but her problem may be the same as Lisa’s or even Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s: there’s no much of a following there save for viewers of their original show, and reality stars have a hard time winning people over.

If you want to check out some more scoop about Lisa’s elimination, be sure to hit up the story over at the link here.
