‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: How many choices does Desiree Hartsock have?

What’s interesting about the scoop / hype coming in for Desiree Hartsock’s season of “The Bachelorette” is that it seems to come in waves. We’ll get a great deal of information from Twitter within in a couple of days, and then we won’t hear anything for over a week; then, it starts to pour in all over again.

This time around, what show creator Mike Fleiss has for us is either a statement designed to get us very excited, or something get our expectations so close to the ceiling that we end up falling back to earth once the episode airs. (Take your pick.) Then, he went into sharing a few details about where Desiree could end up after the final rose ceremony of the season:

“Took a poll of my producers today. It’s unanimous… Dez’ season is truly the best we’ve ever had on The Bachelorette!!! It’s a horse race. Two or three strong contenders for Dez’ heart… She has tough decisions to make!”

Meanwhile, show producer Robert Mills added that “[this] season of #Bachelorette has set the record for most nipples.” (Somewhere, we have a feeling that Sean Lowe’s chest is going to be very jealous about this.) While you can be cynical about this show all you want, and it at times makes sense to do so given its status as an easy target, you have to give the show at least a little bit of credit for knowing exactly what it is that its viewers want. This is why ratings were up this year, a rarity for a show that has been around for over a decade.
