‘Big Brother Canada’ live feed spoilers: No nominations, but a strange competition

AndrewWant some good and bad news from the “Big Brother Canada” house? We’ll start with the scoop that some of you live-feed fanatics will probably be rather sad to hear: there are no nominations yet, and that’s probably going to come fairly early in the morning, with the Power of Veto Competition coming somewhere a few hours later. (Warning: spoilers ahead!)

With that being said, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Jillian plans on putting both Alec and Peter on the block, with Alec serving as the target now more than ever. Why is that? Basically, she has taken it upon herself to use the rather interesting strategy of character assassination, claiming that Alec came to her and basically “threatened” to come after both her and Emmett in the event that he was in danger of going home. Did he really do that? It’s probably an issue up for debate; Alec has been known to not be particularly kind at times, but it benefits Jillian’s game to blow it up into something more.

The only real twist is that Jillian plans on keeping the nominations a secret until the ceremony, that way there is less time for any crazy campaigning to go down. Really, this makes the situation simple: if Alec does not win the Veto, he’s probably going home. It’s possible that Topaz could also save him, but what are really the odds of her winning? Not much. The only situation that becomes interesting is if the Shield finds a way to bribe Emmett to vote on their side in a Peter vs. Talla showdown, but even this seems unlikely.

The only other thing worth mentioning is that in order to avoid anyone being named a Have-Not for the week, there was a gross food-eating competition this afternoon that somehow involved Jillian having to wear a pregnant suit and Andrew dressed as a French maid. Perhaps the saddest part of this was that Emmett was forced to drink milk (something he actually likes) until he threw up. Why ruin something that he enjoys forever?
