‘Shark Tank’ preview: Does Echo Valley Meats have a chance at an investment?

For the first time in quite a while, we sadly don’t have a new sneak peek for Friday night’s all-new “Shark Tank” episode to share. (The video instead is a little bit more comprehensive of the entire season.)

So with this in mind, we don’t have nearly as much to share in this preview article, sadly, as we have in the past … save for the fact that that Echo Valley Meats will be one of the products featured. We’ve done a little bit of perusing around their website to try to give some of the analysis that we give for other products with more information, and it’s fair to say that we are now hungry.

So is this a good brand? On the surface, it looks like it, given that there are a number of these specialty meat shops who ship across the country, and have very good products. There seem to be a few things here and there that make this company stand out, but it seems that more than anything the benefit of using them is that you get the highest quality food possible, and they take care of much of the hassle. There is buying meat from a grocery store, and then there’s something like this.

On the flip side, these sort of products are typically on the sort of thing we have on holidays, mostly because it is in the higher price range for most consumers. Once you include shipping fees, you’re looking at a meal that is not that far off from what you get from going to a nice restaurant, and at a certain point some people would rather go out. It’s too early to judge whether or not this business will get an investment since we don’t know anything about the pitch, the evaluation, or anything else; we just see the high cost being one of the sticking points that count hold them back.
