‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev off to prom

Are you ready for some romance on “The Vampire Diaries”? Okay, well “romance” may not entirely be the best word to use for what we are going to see on the hit CW show moving forward.  The characters are going to be extremely glamorous for the next new episode entitled “Pictures of You” on April 18, as so many of them are going to be attending something in prom that is deeply regarded as one of the biggest traditions in the life of any young person.

However, this is hardly going to be a night to remember for all the right reasons, at least if we know some of our favorite characters. After all, we know that Elena is still willing to kill again if the Salvatores try to convince her to take the cure, and we’re pretty sure at this point they are not going to leave well enough alone. Meanwhile, the presence of both Caroline and Bonnie back into the daily life of Nina Dobrev’s character will surely change things.

While Dobrev’s gown clearly is worthy of props, we would be remiss to not mention Candice Accola’s vintage look her along with Ian Somerhalder’s Damon attending a prom. Why on earth is he at a prom? We have no idea, since we’re pretty sure no real high school would let a guy who is obviously too old for most of the students past the front door as someone’s date.
