‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 finale spoilers: Shonda Rhimes talks major changes
If you thought that you already had an idea as to what the “Grey’s Anatomy” season finale was going to be like, think again. Originally, it seemed as though this was going to be something that was not anywhere near on the same level of drama / tragedy as the season 8 finale featuring the plane crash and the deaths of both Lexie and Mark; however, who knows just in what direction the showrunner is planning to go in now?
The reason that some out there may be concerned right now is pretty simple: just look at what Rhimes said in a new series of posts on her Twitter page Friday. Let’s start with the basic announcement, and then we’ll get to some of the backlash that followed:
“Had very intense discussions yesterday with writers about the Grey’s season finale. We made some very bold shocking decisions. Wow … In answer to your Qs: any spoilers you read about GA finale or anything I said before NO LONGER STANDS. We changed everything yesterday.”
Apparently at this point, Rhimes ended up causing mass freakouts among diehard fans, as many of them were beyond afraid that their beloved characters would be in trouble. Therefore, she ended up responding to some of that with some messages that certainly are cryptic:
“People.I warned you about the GA finale so you could brace yourself or whatever. Hug a friend. Don’t tweet me your craziness.
1) Those of you freaking out? You survived the hospital shooting and the plane crash. You will be okay. Also, it’s a tv show.
2) Every last one of you who tweeted me that u trust the writers and u enjoy whatever we bring? You rock. Thanks for coming on the journey.”
At the end of the day, we have a feeling this will not be a plane crash, but it will be something that keeps people talking for some time.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 – I have been devoted to GA since the very first season. However, I could not understand why I could not relate or had no passion for season 9. Now I know!! Where are the great songs and music that drove the story line through the past 8 seasons! Now GA has violin plucking “ad nauseum”. Season 9 does not have ONE song. Just violin plucking to tell us when we should smile. This is both dumb and annoying. Whose bright idea was this!! When a formula works….don’t touch!
