ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: The hunt for … Bigfoot?

Who would have ever guessed that we would have two mystery shows within the span of a month tackle the issue of Bigfoot? We saw it on a recently episode of “Psych” leading up to its 100th episode; and ironically, “Castle” season 5 is going to be taking on the story for an episode following their 100th episode.

The April 15th installment (which is the 20th of this season) is hilariously titled “The Fast and the Furriest,” and the mission at first suggests as though there could be some sort of mysterious and yeti-like creature involved in the killing. Of course, and as always with a show with as many twists and turns as this one has, there is always something lurking underneath the surface. Be sure to check out the official synopsis below courtesy of ABC:

“When Castle and Beckett find giant footprints at the site of a vicious murder, the team is forced to confront the unlikely theory that Bigfoot is the killer. But as they trek into the world of primate research, big game hunting and mythological creatures, they realize that finding the man (or beast) responsible may put them on the endangered species list.”

This is hardly the first time that Castle has found himself creating crazy theories about something supernatural or nonexistent being involved in a case. May we remind you of the episode that aired just one week ago, where we saw him suspicious about a tape that warned people when they were about to die? Then again, his paranoia is often what makes this show fun … and this certainly has all of the makings of a pretty classic hour of TV.
