‘Necessary Roughness’ season 3 spoilers: Callie Thorne now has company

Necessary RoughnessThe casting news for “Necessary Roughness” season 3 just keeps coming. We’ve already heard that John Stamos and David Anders have each booked major stories for the USA series as two men who run a massive sports management firm, and now we’re hearing that Callie Thorne’s Dr. Dani is going to have some help when it comes to her practice helping athletes who are struggling on some emotional level.

Sources have confirmed that actress Karissa Lee Staples, best known for her role in the Canadian sitcom “What’s Up Warthogs?”, has joined the show as a series regular. As for her role, she will be taking on the part of Paloma, who is going to be hired as Dani’s assistant. Specifically, she will be someone who is extremely ambitious, and coming into this job pretty quickly after her time in university.

However, there are at least a few interesting wrinkles to this character. For one, she is going to try to help Dani even when she does not want to be helped; meanwhile, she may have some motives of her own for trying to make the practice successful.

Ultimately, this is going to a be a pretty experimental season for “Necessary Roughness.” The show is not exactly getting a massive episode order to work with this time around, and with all of the new characters, it is obvious that we are looking at a major shake-up of the show in order to give it a fresh feeling and to generate some buzz.

What do you think about this casting, and are you excited for the new season of the show to start? Be sure to share your thoughts below, and you can also head over to the link here to see more on Anders’ casting.
