‘Doctor Who’ season 7: Matt Smith has fun with Jenna-Louise Coleman

Doctor WhoThis past weekend, we posted a video featuring Matt Smith being interviewed by someone he has had an opportunity to get to know rather well: Jenna-Louise Coleman, who is playing The Doctor’s new companion on “Doctor Who” season 7. Now, the latest video from BBC America (who will be airing the first of several final episodes of the series on Saturday night, hours after the network across the pond) showcases the tables being turned.

Smith asks Coleman below a series of pretty silly questions about anything and everything, and we have an opportunity to hear some pretty interesting things. For one, who knew that the actress would “stalk her friends” (to use Matt’s words) if she ever was granted the power of invisibility? Also, we find out that she has a certain affinity for Ryan Gosling above most other American actors.

Coleman and Smith already seem to have a pretty basic understanding of the fact that it is good chemistry that makes the Doctor / Companion relationship on this show feel so effortless, and after the two got off to a strong start in the Christmas episode “The Snowmen,” we hope to see the same sort of thing take place moving forward. There are of course a few central mysteries to be resolved (including if Coleman’s character of Clara can scientifically exist), and there is also an episode written by the legendary Neil Gaiman that of course is worth looking forward to.

Be sure to keep checking back here to the page throughout, as we’ll have plenty more to share when it comes to news.
