‘Big Brother Canada’ interview: Liza Stinton on Peter’s goodbye message and more

LizaAt one point a week and a half ago, we genuinely felt as though Liza Stinton was in a good position to be the Parvati Shallow of “Big Brother Canada“: she had a number of guys under her thumb, and worked on controlling their minds while simultaneously working and trading information with the women. Even when she was on the block against Tom, there was a feeling that she could still find a way to work her way back into the game for a few more weeks.

However, Liza ultimately became the second houseguest of the season to fall victim to some unfortunate circumstances. With the double-eviction serving as the perfect opportunity to get rid of anyone you want, Andrew instead decided that he wanted to leave his Head of Household without making any enemies in the house. She left the house just moments after her primary “showmance” partner, and thus leaves the house without any female gamers that can likely take on the boys.

We didn’t have much time to speak with Liza in a conference call Friday, but we did at least get a chance to ask a few questions about a certain goodbye message, and also how she would have played had she stuck around.

Cartermatt.com – You seemed to be totally accepting of your eviction from the game, but were you surprised at all about anything that Peter said during his goodbye message?

Liza Stinton – Oh, I loved Peter’s goodbye message! It was perfect.

If you had found a way to stay in the game for a little while longer, was there any strategy for what you were going to do without Tom?

Being in that house and that game without Tom, it would have been a very toxic environment. I would have had every little opportunity to sort of stay positive and focused on the game. The only option I would have had was to strengthen my relationship with Peter, and use him to get me as far as I could.

Do you think that Liza fell victim to playing too hard, too fast, and who are you rooting for now? If you want to read our full interview with Tom, you can do so over here.
