‘The Walking Dead’ season 3 spoilers: Will Daryl and Carol ever hook up?

Norman ReedusFans of “The Walking Dead” season 3 have watched a romance slowly burning between Carol and Daryl over the years, but at this point they are still just friends that care for each other very deeply.  We’ve seen a lot of hook ups on the series that don’t seem to have any real deep feelings behind them (besides, Maggie and Glenn of course), which is why Daryl and Carol shippers are rooting so hard for these two to get together. Will these two lost souls ever find love with one another?

Entertainment Weekly had a chance to find out a few juicy tidbits about “The Walking Dead” at PaleyFest 2013, with one of them being the burning question on the tip of everyone’s tongues – will Daryl and Carol ever hook up?  Norman Reedus (Daryl) said:

“I like these two damaged people gravitating towards each other. It might happen…I don’t want to make the first move.  I don’t think he has much game.”

While Rick has become a bit of a crazy person at this point, it’s clear that if Rick can’t get himself together that someone else is going to have to stand up and lead the group.  We’ve seen Glenn try to do just that, but his main concern is really taking out the Governor for what he did to Maggie and not really the best interests of the group as a whole.  So what about Daryl standing up and leading the group?  Reedus said:

“I don’t think he wants to be the leader in any way. Like with Randall, remember Randall? There’s a whole episode about ‘what do we do with Randall’ and Daryl just kind of quietly went in there and beat the s— out of him and came back with bloody knuckles and was like ‘yeah, what’s up?’ He wasn’t like ‘look at me, look what I did!” I think if he had to lead, it would be reluctantly.  He doesn’t want to talk about feelings or make you feel better about the future. He just does stuff. He gets it done.”

Season 4 of “The Walking Dead” is already under way as the writer’s have worked out the first 8 episodes of the next season already and will actually start writing next week and will be back on set to film season 4 on May 6th.  Be sure to tune in tonight at 9 p.m. on AMC for an all new episode of “The Walking Dead” season 3 and let us know if you want to see Daryl and Carol get together.  Looking for more “Walking Dead” spoilers?  Then be sure to check out our story about the Governor here.
