‘The X Factor’ UK notes: Sharon Osbourne rumors; One Direction video

Are you interested in seeing something fun (not to mention for a great cause), and something completely ridiculous? If so, this “X Factor” article is definitely for you!

Let’s start out with what it is that we find fun: getting the opportunity to celebrate One Direction trying to do some good for people in need all over the world. The video below is a sample of their “One Way or Another” remake. As you are likely familiar with already, this song is best known as a hit from Blondie; however, the band is completely reinventing it as a charity single for Red Nose Day. This is done in conjunction with Comic Relief, which looks to raise funds to help stop global starvation.

Not only is the song catchy, but you have to applaud the cause. Well done, boys.

Now, let’s move into something that is completely ridiculous: the rumors out there that Sharon Osbourne is potentially going to be joining the series again for a run in the fall. Where did this come from? The British tabloids, who jumped to a major conclusion after seeing her have lunch with fellow former judges Louis Walsh and Simon Cowell.

Ultimately, you should know this: just as we are not going to be seeing Cowell return to the show, Sharon will not be doing the same, either. She already has a full-time job in “The Talk” in Los Angeles, and she made the move to quit “America’s Got Talent” last year due to scheduling, family, and some other concerns. It’s almost impossible to imagine her heading across the pond every week while focusing her efforts on something in America.
