‘Game of Thrones’ season 3: Emilia Clarke wouldn’t mind another HBO part…

Emilia ClarkeEmilia Clarke may be one of the biggest stars of “Game of Thrones,” but she has also learned that there is a serious luxury to the role that she plays: a blonde wig. This very object has been able to keep her fairly anonymous when she hits the street, and it would take someone quite a bit of effort to actually know who she is.

Speaking in a new interview with GQ magazine, the actress hilariously comments on how she, unlike many other actors in the TV industry, can have a pretty lengthy conversation with someone before they realize that she is actually Daenerys Targeryan, the woman who will stop at nothing to seize back the Iron Throne for her family:

“It takes a die-hard fan to actually spot me. These HBO events, where I’ll be talking to someone for a fair amount of time, and then suddenly they’re like, ‘Oh sh**! That’s what you do!’ They think I’m some crazy Brit who snuck her way into a Hollywood party.”

In this interview, Clarke also opens up about some of the other series that she watches regularly, and two that she would especially love to appear in if she was ever given the chance:

“I’d give my right arm to be, like, a random extra on ‘Girls,’ just to walk past one of the scenarios. I’d love that more than anything. Or, like, a meth-head on ‘Breaking Bad.’ It’d be like, ‘Where’s Wally?!’ Only, again, without the wig, they wouldn’t recognize me.”

Sadly, the latter show’s not going to happen for Clarke, given that they are currently shooting the final episodes of “Breaking Bad” as we speak. As for “Girls,” anything’s possible (as Lena Dunham has cast more recognizable stars before).

Just in case you missed out on the new “Game of Thrones” season 3 teaser from earlier this week, you can check it out by heading on over to the link here. You will once again be able to see Clarke in her famous wig beginning on March 31 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time, and we can tell you that this season will be a big one for her character.
