‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4, episode 15 preview: Can [spoiler] be saved?

There were many surprises that unfolded on “The Vampire Diaries” Thursday night, but perhaps none were more significant than the revival of Silas, and then the subsequent neck-snapping of one Jeremy Gilbert. Unless some miracle happens, Elena is potentially set to lose the last family member that she is … so now, she will be looking for a way to make this miracle happen.

In the first promo for next week’s “Stand By Me,” Elena literally begs for Bonnie to come and help her revive a young man that they both love in some shape or form, and also refuses to turn his body over to Dr. Fell for the time being, believing for some crazy reason that he is someone that can still be saved.

Okay, so perhaps the word “crazy” should not be used here, given that there have been some crazier things that have unfolded on the show than a human being brought back from the dead. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as though Jeremy had any vampire blood in his system at his time of death like Elena did during last year’s finale; otherwise, we have a feeling that this would not be so great of an issue.

From the standpoint of that cursed island, know this: by around the midway point of the hour: everyone who really wants to be off of the place is going to have an opportunity to do just that. What will come as a result of that is still to be seen, as is the future for Caroline now that Tyler has once again high-tailed it out of town.
