‘American Horror Story’ season 3: Who is now less likely to appear?

American Horror StoryLifetime has just announces a brand-new series to be a part of their lineup later this year; and while this is great news for the network following their cancellation of “Drop Dead Diva” in hopes of picking up some new programming, the news is not so great for those of you hoping to see Jenna Dewan-Tatum on another season of “American Horror Story” after being one of Bloody Face 2.0’s many victims.

The network has decided to use their magic wand and give a ten-episode order to a drama series entitled “Witches of East End,” which focuses on Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond) and her two daughters (played by Tatum and Rachel Boston of “American Dreams”), who learn over time that they are actually in line to become witches. The show superficially reminds us of “Eastwick,” which for those unaware was actually the first show to feature future “Glee” star Darren Criss in a role. (Another Ryan Murphy connection! They’re everywhere.)

The announcement of this casting is interesting, largely because Dewan is at the moment very pregnant with her husband Channing Tatum’s child. With that in mind, filming is obviously still several months away, and will likely fall in line with when “American Horror Story” season 3 is starting to get things going. It’s theoretically possible that she could pop over for an episode or two if she was in demand, but we don’t necessarily think of her as a staple to this franchise like we do Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, or Sarah Paulson.

Are you interested in this show, and do you think that Dewan-Tatum will do a good job in this “secret witch” role? If you want to read some more news about who will appear on “American Horror Story” season 3, you can do so over at the link here.
