ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Familiar ‘Glee’ face to appear as…
Is there about to be some song-and-dance numbers on “Castle” season 5? Sadly, no, but a face that still should be familiar to fans of Fox’s hit musical comedy is stopping by for an important role on an upcoming episode of the ABC crime drama … and one that brings another popular Ryan Murphy series to mind in “American Horror Story.”
According to a new report from TVLine, Romy Rosemont (otherwise known as the mother to Cory Monteith’s Finn) will be appearing specifically in the upcoming asylum-themed episode as a kind woman helping to care for some of the establishment’s patients.
The story for the episode is pretty straightforward and also bares some similarities to “The Ring” franchise: a woman dies after watching a terrifying DVD, and Castle and Beckett are put on the case in order to see if something else was at play here. What complicates things is that Rick is not completely averse to the supernatural world, and understandably becomes very freaked out and starts questioning his own mortality after watching the DVD himself. This episode then quickly evolves to a race against time for Beckett to try and get this case wrapped up before her boyfriend starts to completely lose his own mind.
Could Rosemort become a suspect in the case? It’s hard to say, but wouldn’t it be a pretty interesting twist to see Finn’s mom end up being the person in handcuffs at the end. Her role has lessened in recent seasons (and is all but nonexistent now), but at one point this was a person who played a very important role in her son’s life.
What do you think both about the casting, and the prospects for this episode to be a great one? If you want some more details on the two-part “Castle” episode that is airing right before this one, be sure to head on over to the link here.
