NBC’s ‘The Office’ season 9 spoilers: Roseanne Barr to lend Ed Helms a hand

Andy“The Office” has understandably focused much of their time as of late on the storyline surrounding Jim and Pam, but as we have reported previously, Ed Helms is going to be back in mid-February to stir up some more trouble in Scranton now that his boat trip is complete.

So does this mean that he is going to be getting back into a normal routine in Scranton without hesitation? Far from it; as a matter of fact, being away from Pennsylvania has actually encouraged him to follow another calling: becoming a Hollywood star. With this in mind, he’s taking the first step in trying to find himself an agent.

NBC announced on Wednesday that a comedy legend in Rosebarr will be stopping by an upcoming episode of the show later this year to play talent agent Carly Fern. Sadly, there is not much else in the wait of information available save for the fact that she will be taping her episode soon. For example, is a “talent agent” really just that, or are we looking instead at someone who is just trying to take advantage of a a guy in Andy who is completely and utterly clueless as to how the rest of the world perceives him? This is a character who lost out in show choir to someone named “Broccoli Rob,” so we have a hard time really taking him seriously as any sort of entertainer in the long-term.

Then again, maybe Andy is doing this out of depression. His girlfriend in Erin is starting to develop feelings over time for Pete, and while she has opted not to cheat on her boyfriend while he is away, it is not looking good for him when he returns.
