ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 2 spoilers: After the storm
Over the past few days, we have written fairly extensively about how the fourteenth episode of “Scandal” season 2 is almost going to feel like the start of a new season, as it was added on after executive producer Shonda Rhimes created her initial 13-episode arc. There will be a massive time jump of ten months in here, and for many characters, this will serve as a chance to hit the “reset” button and try to figure out their life after a series of actions nearly ruined the lives of many.
As you may heard already, this episode is entitled “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” and the synopsis below actually carries with it some pretty massive spoilers. This is the first time, after all, that we have learned just who Scott Foley (“True Blood”) is going to be playing on the show, and it gives us a major hint about what has happened in Olivia Pope’s personal life:
“After discovering the truth behind defiance, Fitz is still struggling to figure out whom he can actually trust. Meanwhile Olivia is trying to move on with her life, and she meets a handsome stranger, Jake Weston (Scott Foley), who sparks her interest. But when Fitz and Olivia are forced to be in the same room again, real sparks fly and things get heated. Back at Pope & Associates, the team handles a new case, and for the first time they’re working with David Rosen instead of against him”
Before we arrive at this episode, however, still have two more installments to push through that should give us an idea of just what happens between Olivia and Fitz, and if there is any one event in particular that causes Olivia’s present relationship to crumble.
Are you intrigued by the prospect of Foley as an Olivia love interest? If you want to read some more on the second half of the season, you can do so over at the link here.

I, too, need to see Liv and Fitz together. But, in all honesty, if their relationship was out in the open and not shrouded in secrecy, would it be as juicy as it is now? We live for those stolen moments when they embrace passionately. That seems like the be-all end-all to this show. What would they do if they had their happily ever after? Maybe have story lines of Liv not being able to be the fixer as the wife of the President?
Probably not as interesting.

I’m only interested in Fitz and Olivia being together, no matter what. Even if that means he stays married to Mellie. I want them together! New love interests aren’t really love, considering, Olitz are the true, real deal loves.

I REALLY need for Liv and Fitz to finally be together, to be an actively committed pair though the road will obviously be bumpy. It is time for Olivia to stop dodging and holding out for perfect circumstances for Fitz and the presidency. Our country is evolving, moving forward in its tolerance and understanding that there is no absolute road one must follow.
Enough with the torture that Liv and Fitz constantly experience.
Yeah, yeah the Iluminati is a factor but let’s deal with it and move on somehow.
I know that the writers have committed to a new character but why are we muddying the waters further when we have more than enough chaos going on? Its a shallow concept to suggest that Liv could be swayed so easily by a pretty face! Fitz is her soul!!!
I am exhausted hoping, praying and waiting for a real merger with practical steps to protect it. Fitz did the right thing and asked for the divorce, stunning though it was to me in its timing, but when would the right time have ever come along???

I am only interested in Liv and Fitz getting together. These other men are left shoes on her right foot.
