‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 spoilers: New photos of Emilia Clarke and more

“Game of Thrones” season 3 is just over two months away, but before you give into Westeros yet again, we have some new photos for you to sink your teeth into that feature just about every major character that has a role to play on the show in the upcoming ten episodes.

Before we get into some of the images that you can see below, we have to highlight here who for us is the most-notable omission: Theon Greyjoy. So where is Alfie Allen’s spectacular absurd character? While we believe that Theon will surface during the season at some point, he does not have much of a role in the third George R.R. Martin book A Storm of Swords … meaning that his will likely be limited to a background role here.

Instead, some of the new characters to be playing a part on the show moving forward include the Tully family, the young Reeds, The King Beyond the Wall Mance Rayder, and the Queen of Thorns. There are more new characters beyond the ones show, just as there are also returning faces that are not featured below. We love the colorful new look for Emilia Clarke’s Dany above, just as we also have a great appreciation for the makeup team for what they have done to Peter Dinklage’s face and just how determined Joffrey’s new “love” truly is at keeping her powerful position in court.

There are also some lovely views of the show’s scenery within these photos, which should serve as yet another reminder that few shows on television do a better job of capturing true environments. (Of course, “Game of Thrones” also has the luxury of filming in four separate countries).
