‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2 spoilers: First look at Snow White’s mother!

Considering that “Once Upon a Time” season 2 is spending so much time at the moment allowing us to see the Evil Queen’s mother Cora in action, it only seems appropriate for them to also show off where some of the other characters on the show come from.

With that in mind, we now have the first photo to the left of Bailee Madison as the young Snow White alongside her mother Queen Eva, played by Rena Sofer. Sadly, there is not going to be much hope for us to see this character in anything other than flashbacks: if you remember that the Evil Queen ends up marrying Snow’s father King Leopold, then you know that something terrible ends up befalling Eva.

However, there is going to be more to this story than initially meets the eye. According to TV Guide (who first posted the photo), we are are going to learn during this episode in March that there is an interesting connection between Snow’s mother and another character that you will not see coming; and hopefully, it will even further establish some of the bizarre connections between the characters in Stroybrooke that are already there. If it is anywhere near as shocking as the idea that Neal Cassady may actually be Rumpelstiltskin’s son Baelfire, then we could really be in for quite a treat.

As for what will be gained from these flashbacks, hopefully there is a way in seeing where Snow White came from that she can use that knowledge to stop Cora and Captain Hook from executing their revenge on Storybrooke in the present.
