‘Downton Abbey’ season 4: How one star is resting up
We have a new episode of “Downton Abbey” airing on PBS Sunday night, and if you want to find out more about that, we have just the way for you to do so. As for this article, we’re going to be looking forward to season 4, and with that we warn you straight out the gate that there are going to be some spoilers ahead.
So with filming for the upcoming episodes coming up in a matter of months, what’s one star doing to rest and unwind? Jim Carter is getting himself something that Mr. Carson would never understand in a million years: a bamboo massage. The 64-year old actor and his 57-year old wife were spotted recently in Hertfordshire at a spa, where they are trying their best to celebrate her birthday. Here’s a fun fact for you: Mrs. Jim Carter is none other than Imelda Staunton, who most people around the world likely know best for her role as Dolores Umbridge in the “Harry Potter” universe.
While the “Downton Abbey” season 4 filming schedule has not been set in stone by any means, here is what is believed to be transpiring. Julian Fellowes and the rest of his team is already in the process of preparing ideas, and in the months ahead the actors will all start to receive scripts and prepare. Filming takes place until the summer, and then of course the show will premiere on ITV in the fall. Despite all of the talk about season 4 receiving an earlier start date in America, there really has not been any movement on that front (and considering the issues that would need to be worked through, including the fact that the show airs with advertisements overseas, we don’t see it changing).
