‘Downton Abbey’ season 4: What host wants a part now?
(Warning: The following contains spoilers for “Downton Abbey” season 3 … and strangely also “The Walking Dead” … and should only be read either if you don’t mind knowing what happens or if you’ve already watched the season.)
Unless you are Dan Stevens and you suddenly have a desire to go do a plethora of other things, it’s hard to imagine that there are more sought-after projects in TV than this one. After all, you have an opportunity to work on a Emmy-winning series with stellar actors, smart scripts, and a schedule that not does not even take up an entire year of your time. So with all of this in mind, it’s hard to be shocked about anyone saying that they want to be on the show … even people who are saying it in jest.
With all of this in mind, we turn now to a man who has been to “The X Factor” UK what only Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez in America can only dream of: a stellar host who cares about the contestants and has a mounds of charisma: Dermot O’Leary. Speaking to Digital Spy, the man light-heartedly said that he would welcome a role on “Downton Abbey” season 4, and that they had one of the most shocking TV moments of all of 2012 for him:
“In terms of drama, Lady Sybil dying in Downtown Abbey literally just knocked me and my wife for six. ‘We were like, “What? She can’t be dead”. Man, we were bawling our eyes out. And ‘The Walking Dead’ Rick’s wife when she died through the cesarean, that killed us as well.’
“I’d want a full part in ‘Downton’ or ‘The Walking Dead,’ they’re probably my two favourite shows right now.”
Of course, there’s pretty much no chance at all that O’Leary will ever land either one of these gigs, largely due to the fact that he has yet to act in a single major television production at all, and that most of the people over at AMC in America likely have no idea who he is (even though they should).
“Downton Abbey” season 4 should begin production in a number of months in Britain. Want to know some more news pertaining to the show? If so, be sure to just head on over to the link here.
