The New Year is turning out to be rather lucrative when it comes to “Once Upon a Time” season 2. We’ve already scooped a major casting and also talked about the show’s upcoming episode titles; and now, we have news that is going to make any fan of “Downton Abbey” absolutely overjoyed.
In a new post on Twitter by who appears to be her representation, Lesley Nicol (who you will probably know better by her servant name of Mrs. Patmore) is going to be making some sort of appearance on the hit ABC show moving forward. At the moment, sadly, there is no confirmation as to what her role will be. We imagine that she will likely be playing a British character, but there have not been any roles announced as of yet that have fit her description perfectly.
Considering that season 4 of “Downton Abbey” is going to be shooting in the UK beginning in February or March (depending on Nicol’s own scheduling), odds are that she will not be able to modify her appearance too much from what the Mrs. Patmore role requires. Given that, this also means that we will likely see Nicol shooting her role for ABC in Vancouver (which is more than a little bit far away from the UK) at some point in the month ahead.
This is one Nicol’s first major forays into American television, as she has been a fixture in Britain for many years and likely jumped at the opportunity to do something a little bit different and exciting.
Are you in love with this casting as much as we are? In addition to sharing your thoughts below, you can also check out a new “Once Upon a Time” season 2 promo by just heading over to this link and viewing the article.
